Le mas d’Uzès is a haven of preserved nature located near the Haribo Museum, in a peaceful, leafy district of Uzès.

Originally a traditional farmhouse, le mas d’Uzès is located in Uzès, 3 km away from the town center. The estate was fully renovated in 2022 and is now equipped with air conditioning throughout.
Le mas d’Uzès can also be entirely privatised for groups up to 17 persons.

Nestled at the heart of a 5,000 m² private domain, this historic property dating from the 18th century offers a vast garden and a 12 × 8 m swimming pool.

The magnificent pool is nestled in a landscaped garden dotted with fruit trees. Depending on the season, you can pick apricots, figs, plums, and apples.

Once part of a large agricultural estate spanning several dozen hectares, the Mas d’Uzès played a key role in the creation of the Carrignargues neighborhood, which is now part of the town of Uzès.

A large parking area can accommodate up to 10 vehicles.

Divided by stone walls, the fields of ‘le mas d’Uzès’ used to cover the biggest part of the current Carrignargues district, a Southern suburb of Uzès. Each of these former fields has become nowadays a family home with a large garden including olive trees, umbrella pines, cypresses, laurels, agaves and other mediterranean plants or trees.

The garden is divided into several charming areas: the meadow, the orchard, the olive grove, the pool with its sun deck, the ‘garrigue’ scrubland, and the small ‘forest’.

The property is also located along the route of the 43 km long ancient Roman aqueduct that once carried water from Uzès to the city of Nîmes. Although the aqueduct still crosses the grounds from end to end, the only visible remains today are flat stones that may have served as a protective cover for the water channel. During the Middle Ages a few of these stones have been placed upright along the olive grove, in keeping with local tradition.
